Nov 18 - New PR Guy for 2010

Watsonville, CA…The Ocean Speedway is proud to announce that Gary Thomas of GT Promotions will be joining the staff at the track next season to be the announcer and PR director for the GLR Investments 360 Sprint Car Series. Thomas currently handles PR duties for the Golden State Challenge King of California Series, the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway and numerous sprint car teams throughout Northern California.

 

Thomas is a 22-year-old college student from Sacramento and is excited for the opportunity. “I’m definitely excited to be coming to Ocean Speedway more next season and it should be a lot of fun to get more experience doing the announcing as well as doing pr,” he said. “John Prentice and his staff have really made huge improvements to the facility since taking over and have definitely made it one of my favorite tracks to go to over the last few years.”

 

Prentice has been the promoter of the Ocean Speedway since 2006 and is also happy to be having Thomas on board for next year. “We’re looking forward to having Gary Thomas on the staff next year,” he commented. “He’s one of the best young media members around and will be great addition to the GLR Series, which has really been getting bigger and bigger each season and will keep growing over the next couple years.”
