GENERAL CHASSIS
1. Open to any sprint car chassis 1984 to present.
2. Minimum cage structure to be no less than 1 3/8” 0.0. with .095 minimum wall thickness. cage MUST extend 2” above driver’s helmet. A halo bar will be required if drivers helmet sits too high.
3. NO TITANIUM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. Motor, body, seat and fuel tank must be mounted to the centerline of the chassis.
5. Wheelbase minimum of 82”. Wheel base maximum of 96”.
6. All cars must weigh 1700 Ibs. with driver and all driver’s equipment. You can be weighed at any time during the event.
7. Bumpers and nerf bars must be sprint car type bars and securely bolted to the chassis with minimum1/4” bolts. Bumpers and nerf bars will be constructed of no less than 1” 0.0. and.60 wall thickness. Side nerf bars may have a triangular or 4 point configuration and may not extend outside rear tires.
DRIVE TRAIN
1. All drive trains must have a driveline or rear end coupler system (to disengage rear end from engine). Torque arm drivelines not allowed. All drivelines must be enclosed and have no more than 1 u-joint and that u-joint must be at the front of the drive line.
2. Buckley Yokes OK.
3. Torque tube safety strap or hoop mandatory.
4. Any conventional quick change rear end is allowed with a maximum 2” offset.
SUSPENSION
1. Any conventional torsion bar or coil-over suspension is allowed. Combining the two is allowed
2. No independent rear suspension allowed.
3. Straight front axle only.
4. One shock per wheel.
5. NO COCKPIT ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION DEVICES. NO EXCEPTIONS.
WHEELS AND TIRES
1. Any aluminum, or steel six-pin or spline wheel OK. Any wheel offset is allowed.
2. Maximum wheel width: Front 10”, Left Rear 15”, Right Rear 18”.
3. Bead locks on all wheels recommended.

BRAKES
1. Minimum left front and left inboard rear brake system. Front and rear brakes must work at start of event. Rear brakes must work at ALL times. Additional right rear brake OK.
2. Steel, cast iron or aluminum rotors only. No titanium.
BODY/GENERAL APPEARANCE/AERODYNAMIC DEVICES
1. Body/chassis must be well maintained. NO JUNK. PAINT OVER RUSTED HEADERS ETC. Number must be legible and LARGE ENOUGH TO BE EASILY READ FROM THE SCORING BOOTH. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. Conventional sprint car hoods allowed. Conventional side panels and tail tanks only.
3. NO AERODYNAMIC DEVICES ALLOWED. NO WINGS, WEDGES, FOILS, MODIFIED BELLY PANS (flat only) OR UNDERSIDE MODIFICATIONS. NO EXCEPTIONS. THE OFFICIAL DECISION WILL BE FINAL. No body part may be designed to trap air or otherwise form a wind break except those to cool or protect the engine or braking system .
4. Right side arm guard may not exceed 36” in height measured from top of bottom frame rail.
5. Driver must be able to easily escape the car. Drivers will be asked to demonstrate this capability.
6. Firewall will be solid metal and fit between the engine and the driver. Access holes may be drilled for wiring and linkage.
7. Floorpan must extend from the firewall to the front of the driver’s seat.
FUEL SYSTEM
1. A securely mounted fuel cell with bladder is required. Midget or sprint type is OK.
2. Minimum 25 Gallon tank. Maximum of 40 Gallons.
3. Fuel tanks may not be mounted to the chassis utilizing any portion of the access plate or the nut plates bonded into the fuel bladder.
4. Mounting fuel tank to chassis: All mounting points must have inner and outer plates attached to the shell. The plates must be of adequate size to insure the tank being secure to the chassis. All tanks will have four different mounts to the cage.
5. Tank vent MUST have check valve.
6. Fuel systems must have shut off device within reach of the driver, marked in large bold block letters and painted a “Dayglow-Red” color for easy identification. A Waterman Shut-off system is recommended for additional safety.
7. All fuel lines and filters will be securely and safely mounted to the satisfaction of the officials. NO EXCEPTIONS.
ENGINE
1. 360 cu. in. MAXIMUM. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. Cast iron block and heads required. Stock valve angle (23 degrees for Chevy).
3. Flat tappet cams only. Roller rockers and girdles OK.
4. Gear drive and dry sump oil systems OK.
5. Holley #4412 or Demon or 9647 Series 500 cfm. 2bbl. carburetor. Track Go-No Go Gauge will monitor carburetor specifications.
6. 1 11/16” throttle bore; shafts and throttle plates must be stock. Choke tower may be removed. External jets OK. THREE METAL throttle return springs MANDATORY.
7. Venturi may be opened .010 over catalog specs.
8. Aluminum 4bbl. intake manifold OK. 1/2" pipe plug in valley area of the intake manifold, (between carb. and dist.) to check cams with opening engines.
9. Bottom of carburetor may be no more than 4” from top of manifold. No ram intakes allowed.
IGNITION & STARTING
1. Any ignition system or magneto allowed.
2. Must carry 12 volt battery. Recommended location: under driver’s seat.
3. If battery is WET TYPE, must be covered to prevent acid spills.
4. Cars must start each event from the staging WITHOUT ASSISTANCE. Cars requiring assistance at original start must go to the back of the pack.
5. On board, working starters are REQUIRED.
6. Assisted starts from red flag work area, during red flag conditions OK.
7. Steel or approved aluminum shield that covers the flywheel mandatory when bell housing is inside the cockpit.
8. Cars must have a clearly marked ON/OFF ignition switch within reach of the driver and visible to rescue workers.
FUEL
1. RACING alcohol or gas only. No Nitro or Nitrous Oxide
2. NO ADDITIVES. Including oxygenated additives
3. No electric fuel pumps.
MUFFLERS
Mufflers are required. Mandatory 95dba @ 100 ft.
SAFETY
ALL SAFETY ITEMS WILL BE DESIGNED AND INSTALLED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE TECHNICAL INSPECTOR. NO EXCEPTION WILL BE MADE IN THE AREA OF SAFETY. ANY ADJUSTMENTS OR ALTERATIONS SUGGESTED BY THE OFFICIALS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY ENFORCED. YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE.
1. Racing seats ONLY. High back recommended.
2. Headrest must be high impact and energy absorbing
3. Seat must be mounted in 4 places to the chassis with minimum 3/8’ steel bolt and nut.
4. Mounting hole in seat must have a 2” diameter mounting plate with a minimum .060”
5. Seat belts must be 2 years old or newer. 5 point hook-up with 3” belts minimum.
6. Roll cage padding required. Knee pads and guards required.
7. Quick release steering wheel mandatory.
8. Snell SA95 or newer helmets are required.
9. Arm restraints are mandatory.
10. Fire proof uniforms gloves and shoes are mandatory. SF13.2N1 rating minimum.
11. Head socks or skirts mandatory.
12. Neck collars or HANS type device required. HANS type devices are highly recommended.
FIRE SUITS
Any popular approved type, for example, Simpson, Nome,., etc., any color is allowed. All drivers at all times must wear approved fire suits. For example, testing, hot lapping, running on the track and racing. All gloves and/or shoes or boots are optional. NO OPEN TOE SHOES ALLOWED.
SHOULDER STRAPS/HARNESS/SAFETY BELT REQUIREMENTS
Shoulder straps or harness and safety belts are mandatory and shall be worn at all times when on track. Safety belts must be fustened behind the seat and at least 6” or lower below the shoulder and sub-marine belt. Belts to mounted to roll cage. Maximum age on belts 2 years.
GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
1. A medical examination of all drivers may be required as needed by officials.
2. Fire extinguishers are required in the every pit by car in working order.
3. All accelerators must be equipped with safety toe strap and proper return springs.
4. All wrecked cars must be inspected by a safety official before re-entering competition. A race car may be inspected by officials at any time.
5. Any car found to be illegal will be disqualified from competition.
6. Seat belts will be used at all times.
7. All moly or hiem ball joints will have flat washers installed.
