LET'S GO MIDGET RACING! - WMR to start season at Ocean Speedway Friday June 26th

Ocean Speedway management has reached agreements with the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds and county health officials to open with a number of strict conditions in place.

Pending a successful opening night at Ocean on June 19th, and with official's blessing to move forward, Western Midget Racing will be competing on Friday June 26th. This will be a special event open to all midgets. WMR and open Midgets will run together unless enough cars show up in both divisions to hold separate main events. If run together, WMR drivers will be scored separately and recognized separately. The event will be run with a closed grandstand and the purse has not yet been determined but all drivers will be paid equally.

We anticipate that there will possibly be other restrictions in place regarding parking spacing, social distancing, face mask requirements, infectious disease liability release, etc. That information will be posted here as it's received. Ocean Speedway requests that participating drivers or owners download a W-9 form and have it ready upon arrival. The form is located at https://www.racepmg.com/oceanspeedway/driver-info/forms/
