The two day show will feature the Civil War vs. Ocean Sprints on Friday with the King of the West Sprint Car Series taking center stage on Saturday. Watsonville, CA – The two day Howard Kaeding Classic had its ninth edition this past weekend with Campbell’s Bud Kaeding and Fremont’s Shane Golobic going to victory lane. On Friday, 36 Civil War vs. Ocean Sprints signed on for duty, with Golobic picking up the win. Watsonville, CA – The Mike Cecil Memorial will have its 22nd edition this Friday and Saturday. For the first time in its history, the event will be run over two days. In September of 1997, we lost the race’s namesake to cancer and the Mike Cecil Memorial has been held in his honor ever since. Cecil was the 1995 Watsonville Speedway Street Stock champion. On Friday, Chowchilla’s Alex Stanford led from the outside pole before Oakley’s Kellen Chadwick had his turn at the front.
